In both cases, almost all the attention goes to the new mother (or partner): what does she need during this delicate period? How does she experience the transition from woman to mother? How is she doing? ...
Dear mom - you deserve a moment to yourself. And now that you're completely swept up in your own cocoon, the wellness will just come to you. Why? Because we talk a lot about me-time these days, but I prefer to make it mom-time. Because you really don't have to do it yourself, you already have enough going on. And if there's something we probably don't do enough , it's often just that - truly taking time just for you. And darling, you're worth it!
A mom time moment consists of at least two of the following:

A foot bath with magnesium flakes*

A massage with warming sesame oil (stomach, hands, feet or shoulders)

Checking in on how you are really doing, look back on the birth

Teaching you how to easily bind your own belly (belly binding)

A golden latte moment

Tips and advice about the maternity period
And the baby? They're welcome too of course - they can lie on your belly, or right next to you, or whatever seems best for you two in the moment.
*Magnesium flakes are known for their relaxing effect on bones and muscles. Magnesium is easily absorbed through the skin and can replenish your body supplies after pregnancy and childbirth.

Tip
Taking care of yourself while also having a baby to take care of is not something to take lightly. It is of course normal that such a major life event has an impact on your life and your own resilience. That's why I think it's just as normal to take the time to think and talk about this as a brand new parent - especially if you notice that your stress levels are rising. This way you can gain insight in the causes and effects and we can discuss actions that can help to make this transition as relaxed and resilient as possible.
