golden days
We carry the world in our hands and in our hearts. All the more important to warm those hands and heart well through these days full of golden edges.
Golden days box
This box has been put together with great care so that you are reminded to value yourself through this intense period. A beautiful mug and spices for a golden latte, bath bombs to plunge your feet into a soothing bath. A reminder that you can give yourself time, to literally offer yourself that breathing space, that you can let yourself be taken care of.
You are golden!
golden latte
This is a drink specifically recommended for its warming and restorative properties. It is warm milk, preferably foamed, that is mixed with a spice mixture, with turmeric as the main ingredient, in addition to cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper and possibly ginger. So no coffee is involved.
Golden lattes come in many guises. Here are my three favorite ways to get started.
Traditional
Heat 1 tsp butter or ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add 1 tsp golden days mixture. Stir well and let it heat for a minute.
Then add 250 ml of (oat) milk and let it warm up for a few minutes without boiling.
Pour into your mug, ideally through a fine sieve and enjoy!
Fancy a deluxe version? You do that like this:
-
Add some slices of fresh ginger and/or dates along with the oat milk.
-
Froth some extra milk for on top. Finish with a pinch of cinnamon.
Barista style
Put 1 tsp golden days mixture in your mug and pour a shot of hot water over it. Beat this with a small beater (or a matcha whisk).
Dilute with enough steamed or foamed barista oat milk, as if you were making a cappuccino. Garnish with a pinch of cinnamon if desired. Enjoy!
Quick & easy
Heat 250 ml of oat milk in a pan or in the microwave (about 1 minute at 700W), without letting it boil.
Add 1 tsp golden days mixture and stir well.
Finish with a pinch of cinnamon if desired.
It can be done even faster with an (electric) milk frother: add 1 tsp golden days mixture toe to your milk for frothing and pour into your mug. Finished!
Good to know

The suggested amounts are for a usual, standard portion. Of course, your preference may deviate from this. Some like it just a little firmer, others just softer. The choice is yours!
-
Oats are recommended during the maternity period because they are filling and support breastfeeding, but feel free to use your favorite milk (substitute) of course.
-
You drink golden lattés (as with everything) best in moderation. Keep it to 1 to 2 cups a day.
-
The clay x nós mug can be used in both the dishwasher and the microwave.
A perfect imperfect mug
Together with Freya from Clay, I put together a mug as a metaphor for (early) parenthood.
-
Curves that refer to round bellies, full breasts, soft pads where maybe there used to be more muscle.
-
With a heart for all that love that reigns in these golden days. For your happiness, for each other. And also especially to remind you of that love for yourself. For what you've done. For who you are and who you become.
-
An uneven, speckled clay and rough edges. Because it's not all perfection, and it certainly shouldn't be to be clean.
-
Those first moments of early parenthood are also dripping with everything. In addition to all the bodily juices you can think of, I prefer to focus on feelings and thoughts. Because they too will run out of steam, make your heart overflow with love and at the same time perhaps also a lot of worries and doubts. It may be there, it may drip and it may also be visible.

There are 40 of these mugs in circulation. And although they look alike, none are the same. Just as your experience will never be identical to someone else's. And at the same time you are not alone. There is power in knowing that others are experiencing similar things. There is support in the feeling of being connected in a small way with those others.
Time for mom bath bombs
Together with echelon soaps I put together bath bombs that are completely focused on these golden days. Days when you can pamper yourself extra.
A foot bath with magnesium flakes and soothing oils and herbs is one of my favorite postpartum rituals. And to make that more accessible, these bath bombs were born – which contain all the things for a relaxed 'mom time moment' and you can just enjoy.
So fill that bath with nice warm water, unwrap your bath bomb, smell it and watch it disappear into your water as your feet soften.
There are three variants:
Rose Rose
Your own package with rose scent and moonshine.
Rose petals, floral scent magnesium
CalenDoula
A combination of the soothing marigold and cocoa – le paradis c'est ici!
Fragrance cashmere/cocoa, calendula flower, golden color, and magnesium
Lavender haze
To immerse yourself in a lavender haze.
Lavender scent, lavender bud, lavender color and magnesium
All bath bombs contain magnesium salt and are luxuriously finished with gold.
Magnesium flakes are known for their relaxing effect on bones and muscles. Magnesium is easily absorbed by the skin and can thus replenish your body's stores, especially after a period in which a lot has been asked of your body.
PS before you put your feet in the kitchen tub – have you thought about the baby bath?
